Matt Flood is a lifelong resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area and as such, has a superb knowledge of the region and its real estate market. Prior to his career with TTR Sotheby's International Realty, he had extensive experience in sales, working as a Customer Satisfaction Coordinator for an online custom apparel company with annual gross revenue exceeding $300 million.
Because of his early success in achieving $1.5 million in sales transactions, he was quickly promoted to assistant team manager. This position involved mentoring new employees throughout their early tenure and creating training materials for new hires on how to effectively work with customers. Ultimately, Mr. Flood was promoted to Customer Satisfaction Coordinator for a new department that involved the design and development of reports analyzing all aspects of customer satisfaction. He was responsible for finding and reporting on trends among the products sold, also serving as liaison with the customer operations team.
He developed reports identifying consumer trends for leadership throughout the company, which comprised approximately 1500 employees, in offices including Fairfax, Charlottesville, Reno, Dallas, Boston, and Chicago. He also led an interdepartmental task force with 20 company leaders in an effort to address system redundancies, vendor liability issues, and technological improvements.
He demonstrated his flexibility and ability to perform at a high level of efficiency in a rapidly changing environment while his company grew from 250 employees to more than 1,500 in just a few short years. He also participated in the complete rebranding of the company while maintaining a superior level of customer satisfaction.
Mr. Flood earned a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. His course of study was influenced by his profound interest in history and politics, from classical antiquity to the development of the American legal system; he even considered becoming an attorney.
An avid traveler, Mr. Flood traveled throughout the United States and all over the globe to countries including Mexico, Canada, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, Australia, Monaco and Fiji. He spent a particularly memorable time in France, including Paris and the southern coast including Antibes, Nice, and Cannes. In his free time, Mr. Flood and his wife enjoy exploring Washington's diverse museums, parks, and theaters.
